Purpose: The purpose of this document is to explain one of the reason 'Go To' menu does not work.
Applicable: To all versions of Maximo.
Issue: I have created an image (to prepare QA server) from Production Server in which Maximo was working well. I changed the Host name in all relevant files and was able to successfully login into Maximo. However, I am unable to select 'Go To' menu including all menu options. Even Start Center page was hanging.
Solution: Frankly speaking, I struggled to fix this issue for 2 days. I thought it might be some javascript issue or some other class issue. I compare all IE settings with production sever and all were the same. So, I couldn't figure out what was the issue. So, finally I thought of enabling Active X in IE settings even though it wasn't enabled in Production.
I enabled all settings relating to Active X & Scripting in Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Internet -> Custom Level.
